NCC - Analytics Connector

Overview

The Nextiva Contact Center Analytics Connector is a Google Data Studio Community Connector that lets Nextiva Contact Center customers securely connect their analytics data to Data Studio for dashboard creation and custom reporting. It uses your existing Nextiva authentication and permissions; there's no separate connector account or password to manage, and the connector retrieves only the data your account is already authorized to see. This page covers setup, usage, and troubleshooting for the connector, including how to create additional dashboards beyond your standard one.

First-time login

If this is your first time accessing the Nextiva Connector dashboard:

  1. Open the Nextiva Connector login.

  2. Sign in using your Nextiva Contact Center (NCC) credentials.

  3. You'll be redirected to the Google Data Studio projects page.

  4. In Data Studio, open "Shared with me."

  5. Locate and open the required Nextiva Contact Center Analytics Connector dashboard.

The dashboard loads using your authenticated Nextiva Contact Center Analytics Connector access; you don't need to manually enter an authentication token or Connector backend location.

The dashboard can look like this:

If you're already logged in to Nextiva Contact Center

  1. Click the Google Data Studio icon.

  2. Click New Window.

  3. Click the relevant dashboard.

The dashboard uses your existing authenticated session, and reports should populate without needing to sign in again. This also applies to supported embedded Looker Studio reports within the Nextiva application.

Updating or customizing an existing dashboard

  1. Open the existing shared dashboard in Google Data Studio.

  2. Create a copy of the dashboard.

  3. Confirm the copy still uses the correct Nextiva Connector datasource.

  4. Modify the visualizations, filters, charts, pages, or layout as needed.

  5. Save the copy.

Creating a copy, rather than editing directly, keeps the original shared dashboard unchanged.

Common Issues and Troubleshooting

Invalid username or password Verify your Nextiva credentials, then try signing in again.

Authentication session not found Sign in again — your session may have expired.

Invalid or missing Analytics Datasource ID Double-check the Datasource ID with your Nextiva contact (via Nextiva Contact Center) and re-enter it.

Data not loading in Looker Studio Verify your account has permission to the report in question, then refresh.

Schema not refreshing correctly Confirm you're signed in and that Nextiva Contact Center Analytics Connnector services are available, then refresh.

Connector reconnect or refresh requirements Refresh the report, or remove and reconnect the datasource.

Backend API errors If the issue persists after verifying authentication and datasource configuration, this may indicate a service-side issue. Contact Nextiva Support (see below).

FAQ

How do I log in? Use your existing Nextiva Contact Center (NCC) credentials via the Nextiva Analytics Connector login link, or your existing NCC session if you're already authenticated.

What do I need to use the connector? A Google account, a valid Nextiva Analytics account, your Analytics Datasource ID, and an active internet connection.

Where do I get my Analytics Datasource ID? Your Analytics Datasource ID comes from Nextiva Contact Center (NCC). It's only needed when creating a new datasource/report — if you're using a dashboard that's already been shared with you, it's already configured.

How do I create additional dashboards? Open the existing shared dashboard in Looker Studio, create a copy, and edit only the visualization. Leave the data source connection as-is so it continues using the same Analytics Datasource ID (see "Updating or customizing an existing dashboard" above).

Can I share a dashboard I build with others? Yes — sharing is managed through Looker Studio's own sharing controls. Recipients will need their own Google account and appropriate Nextiva Analytics access to see live data.

Why is my datasource not loading? This is usually caused by an incorrect Analytics Datasource ID, insufficient user permissions, or a backend service availability issue. Verify your Datasource ID and permissions, then try refreshing or reconnecting the datasource.

What should I do if I see an authentication error? Sign in again using the Nextiva Analytics Connector login link. If the error persists, contact Nextiva Support (see below).

How do I reconnect the connector? Refresh or reconnect the datasource in Google Looker Studio.
