Add or assign devices

Register new hardware and connect it to users from the voice portal.

Add a device

Register a new phone on your account and assign it to a user.

From a user profile
  1. 1Log in to the platform voice portal as an administrator.
  2. 2Open Users, choose the user, and select Voice Settings.
  3. 3Open Phone, click Change Phone, and select New Phone.
  4. 4Choose the make and model, enter the MAC address, and click Save.
From Device Management
  1. 1Log in to the platform voice portal as an administrator.
  2. 2Select Voice, then open the Phones & Devices tab.
  3. 3Click Add device, choose the phone model, and enter the MAC address.
  4. 4Click Save and Continue, select a user, then click Finish.
  5. 5Plug in the phone to complete setup (or follow your device guide if not purchased from Nextiva).

Assign a device to a user

Connect a device that is already on your account to a specific user.

From Manage Users
  1. 1Log in to the NextOS portal as an administrator.
  2. 2Open Users → Manage Users and select the user.
  3. 3Expand the Device section.
  4. 4Choose an existing device from Available Devices, or select Add Device to register a new one.
  5. 5Generate an authentication name and password, then click Save.
