NEXT Mobile - Settings - Profile and Status

Overview

This article explains how to manage your profile, status, and notifications in the NEXT mobile app. It covers updating your status, pausing notifications, and viewing your profile information.

Before You Begin

• You must be signed in to the NEXT mobile app.

Accessing Settings

To access Settings, tap the avatar icon in the upper right corner of the screen.

Status

To update your status, complete the following steps:

1. Tap the avatar icon to open Settings.

2. Tap the Update your status field.

3. On the Set Your Status screen, either type a custom status or select one of the following default options:

   • In a meeting

   • Out to lunch

   • On Vacation

   • Focusing

   • Commuting

4. Tap the Remove status after drop-down arrow to set how long the status will last. The options are:

   • Don't remove

   • 30 minutes

   • 1 hour

   • 2 hours

   • Today

   • Tomorrow

5. Tap the check mark to set your new status.

Setting Yourself as Away

To set yourself as away, tap Set yourself as away. Your status updates automatically.

Notifications

To pause your notifications, complete the following steps:

1. Tap the avatar icon to open Settings.

2. Tap Pause notifications.

3. Select how long to pause notifications for:

   • 30 minutes

   • 1 hour

   • 2 hours

   • 8 hours

   • Until end of day

Once paused, Notifications paused is displayed with the selected duration underneath.

To unpause notifications before the set time expires, tap the X icon.

Profile

To view your profile, complete the following steps:

1. Tap the avatar icon to open Settings.

2. Tap Profile.

3. The Edit Profile screen displays the following fields:

NOTE: Only the Nickname and Timezone fields can be edited. All other fields are read-only.

Editing Your Avatar

Tap Edit avatar to change your avatar. The following options are available:

• Choose a color theme — Select a new color for your avatar.

• Choose from library — Select a photo from your device's photo library.

• Take a photo — Take a new photo using your device's camera.

Editing Your Nickname

Tap the Nickname field and enter your preferred nickname.

Editing Your Timezone

Tap the Timezone field and select your timezone from the drop-down list.
