Overview

This article explains how to navigate the Home screen in NEXT. The Home screen is the first screen you see after logging in and provides a snapshot of your day, recent contact activity, and your day’s schedule. It is intended for all users.

Before You Begin

  • Your NEXT account must be active and login credentials received.

  • The Complete Setup banner appears in the top navigation bar until all onboarding steps are completed.

The Home Screen

Click Home in the left navigation panel to return to the Home screen at any time. The screen greets you by name and displays the current date at the top.

The Home screen is organized into the following areas:

Displays a summary of your pending items. Each tile is clickable and navigates to the corresponding section:

  • New Voicemails — Number of unheard voicemails.

  • Unread Contact Messages — Number of unread messages from contacts.

  • Unread Internal Messages — Number of unread internal messages.

  • Unread Team Inbox Messages — Number of unread messages in your team inboxes.

Your AI's Activity

Displays aggregate metrics across your AI Employees:

  • Sessions Total — total number of AI Employee sessions

  • Avg. Conversation Duration — average length of AI Employee conversations

  • Answered by AI — number of interactions handled by AI without escalation

Each tile includes an arrow to view more detail.

NextIQ Recommendations

Displays conversations that NextIQ has identified as needing your reply. When there are none, the panel shows "You're all caught up!" with the note "Conversations that need your reply will show up here."

Setup

Displays outstanding setup tasks for your account, such as completing text messaging registration. Each task includes a short description and an action button (for example, Start Registration) to complete it.

Recent Activity

Displays a list of your most recent contact interactions. Each entry shows the contact name, a preview of the last message, the time of the interaction, and the channel it occurred on. A blue dot to the left of an entry indicates an unread message. Click Go to Inbox to navigate directly to your Inbox.

Your Day

Displays your scheduled meetings for the day. When no meetings are scheduled, the panel shows "No meetings scheduled for today." Click Go to Meetings to navigate directly to the Meetings screen.
